Hi!
I’m Kevin. Born and raised in Seattle, I got my start in design by quitting my day job and starting a laser cutting business out of my parent’s garage. After that I worked as a visual/motion designer at a tech startup and got my first taste of working on a user experience team. Fast forward a few years and I’m a cross-functional UX Designer with a passion for developing solutions and a love for building prototypes.
Before pursuing UX, I animated for Google and Microsoft and designed marketing content for startups like Moz. Most notably, I helped Amazon design and build their Device Simulation program from the ground up.
I am always looking for opportunities to challenge myself and grow my design skills. I prefer to work embedded with engineers and I pride myself on deeply understanding problems, creating solutions and building consensus.
In my spare time, I make a lot of wood shavings...and occasionally carve a spoon or bowl. I like to spend my summers camping with my wife Amber and over the past few years, I built a kayak, rode my bike from Seattle to San Francisco and ran several half marathons.
I currently manage a growing design team at Oracle.
If you’d like help developing a new product or refining an experience, feel free to drop me a line.
